Zero Tolerance. Randomly has a strict zero-tolerance policy toward child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). Any content or behavior involving minors will result in immediate, permanent account termination and reporting to the relevant law enforcement authorities.
1. Age Requirement
Randomly is strictly for users aged 18 and older. We enforce this requirement through the following measures:
- Users must provide their date of birth during registration and confirm they are at least 18 years old
- The app is listed as 18+ / Adults Only on the Google Play Store
- Accounts found to belong to minors are immediately terminated and all associated data is deleted
2. Prohibited Content & Behavior
The following is absolutely prohibited on Randomly:
- Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM): Any sexual or exploitative imagery, video, or text involving minors
- Grooming: Any attempt to build a relationship with a minor for the purpose of sexual exploitation
- Solicitation: Requesting, sharing, or distributing sexual content involving minors
- Sexualization of minors: Any content that sexualizes or objectifies minors, including fictional depictions
- Sextortion of minors: Threatening or blackmailing minors with sexual content
- Trafficking: Any content related to the trafficking or exploitation of minors
3. Detection & Moderation
We employ multiple layers of detection and moderation to combat CSAE:
Automated Content Moderation
- NSFW Image Detection: All images posted to the public feed are automatically scanned using Google Cloud Vision API's SafeSearch detection. Images flagged as containing adult, violent, or otherwise inappropriate content are blocked from being published.
- Automated monitoring: We employ systems to detect patterns of behavior consistent with grooming or exploitation.
User Reporting
- Every user can report other users or content directly within the app using our built-in report system
- Report categories include dedicated options for "CSAE / Child Abuse" and "Pedophilia / Grooming"
- All CSAE-related reports are treated with the highest priority
Block System
- Users can instantly block any other user, preventing all further contact
- Blocked users cannot view or interact with the blocking user's profile or content
4. Enforcement Actions
When CSAE content or behavior is detected or reported, we take the following actions:
- Immediate account termination: The offending account is permanently banned without warning
- Content removal: All offending content is removed immediately
- Evidence preservation: Relevant data is preserved for law enforcement purposes
- Law enforcement notification: We report all confirmed or suspected CSAE to the appropriate authorities, including NCMEC (National Center for Missing & Exploited Children) and local law enforcement
- Ban evasion prevention: We take measures to prevent banned users from creating new accounts
5. Cooperation with Law Enforcement
Randomly fully cooperates with law enforcement agencies investigating child exploitation. We will respond promptly to valid legal requests and provide all available information relevant to investigations involving CSAE.
Our servers are located in Germany and operated under German and EU law. We comply with applicable reporting obligations under German law (including StGB § 184b) and the EU Regulation on combating child sexual abuse.
6. Data Handling for CSAE Cases
In cases involving suspected CSAE:
- Account data and relevant content are preserved and not deleted despite the account termination
- Data is retained for the minimum period required by law or until law enforcement confirms it is no longer needed
- Access to preserved data is strictly limited to authorized personnel and law enforcement
